Announcing UnMasc (A Mens Storytelling Event)

The Village PATH & Undo Bias Consulting Presents: UnMasc (A Mens Storytelling Event)

Proceeds to provide free mental health services for self-identified Black Men who are interested in seeking therapy.

During Violence Prevention Month The Village PATH and Undo Bias will be co-hosting the production of UnMasc (A Mens Storytelling Event) on October 28th, 2022, and October 29th. This event will take place at Il Monastero, located at Il Monastero Banquet Centre, 3050 Olive St, St. Louis, MO 63103 on the campus of Saint Louis University.

The production will include 11 self-identified Men from varying backgrounds who will come together to share bold personal stories about how masculinity has affected them.

The goal of the event is to raise $20,000 for The Village PATH’s program The Village TAP (Therapy Access Program). The Village TAP was organized to address the mental health needs of Black Self-Identified Men. A big part of it is providing psychotherapy sessions to this population free of charge. Over the last two years, The Village TAP has paid for over 100 sessions of free therapy.

In addition to ticket sales and outright donations, event participants will be able to donate through a silent auction on both nights. The silent auction will feature items from local businesses in the St. Louis region. Several organizations from the St. Louis metropolitan area will also be on-site during the event. Audience members will be free to bid on items before the start of the event or during intermission.

Doors will open at 7:00 pm and the production will start at 7:30 pm. The suggested ticket price will be $15 at the door and tickets will also be available in advance at www.thevillagepath.org.
